Feel Free To Judge.

Vada is going to be in a beauty pageant.

Boom, weren't expecting that bomb were you?

With that being said I'm going to give you a few moments to judge and roll your eyes at me because that's exactly what I do when people usually say that they have put their daughters in pageants.

But hear me out....

It's in Thayer, KS so it's not anything special and it's during their homecoming. The only outfit she will wear is a t-shirt and a diaper but she can wear any bow we want. And yes, I am having her wear a fancy shmancy bow.

Also, she is pretty freaking cute and I'm pretty sure it's free.

So free entertainment on a Friday night and I get to show my daughter off? Uh, yes please!

Let me also note that this will be her first and last pageant, the closest thing that will come to a pageant that she will be allowed to do is 4-H fashion review and/or Dance Recitals.

I also feel the need to bedazzle darth vader on a t-shirt for Clinton so he can support her. Let's see if I can convince him to wear a bedazzled t-shirt in the first place..

Wish us luck!!

Update: She lost. Some women actually painted their babies toe nails! Okay, unless you have twins to me that seems a bit extreme. I mean, come on this is a beauty contest not really even a pageant. Really?

I just don't understand people.

Random

This post is going to be about some random things, I can't really think of one thing to write about so I'm going to write about a whole bunch of random things.

First off, this week was my first week back to watching Charlotte, the only difference was that I had Vada also. Yes, I am that crazy to watch a 6 month old and a 4 month old at the same time. It wasn't too bad, the girls are pretty good and they're both learning how to share Auntie AKA mommy and that they have to share their toys and such.

They both are pretty interested in each other and Charlotte is always willing to look and try and touch Vada's face and head. Vada takes having Charlotte drool all over her pretty well too.

Another thing that has happened this past Saturday night was that Vada baby was baptized! I haven't uploaded the pictures to my computer yet and I'll probably make her baptism a whole different post.

I don't really have anything else going on that's exciting so I'll just upload some pictures now.....

We went on a vacation to Iowa to visit Aunt Kristy and her family.
 Vada's 3 month picture.
 Talking to her daddy.
 Smiling at mom.
One of probably 2 pictures of just Vada and I.
Holding on to her daddy.

Happy Anniversary Clinton!

Today is our one year anniversary. How was your first year of marriage? Was it is as interesting as ours? Because we had a hell of a year here are some examples of what our year entailed....

  • One month to the day after our wedding I found out I was pregnant.
  •  6 months into your marriage, did you loose your house to a tornado? Because lord we did, and I now think I have PTSD when storms happen at night. (The whole 2 that we have had have completely scared me to death, to the point where I almost start shaking.)
  • We had our first born 3 months before our wedding anniversary.
  • The past two years we have been in a drought, since Clinton is a farmer, it has hit us hard.

So for gifts for our paper anniversary Clinton bought me a house to live in and some flowers. And I bought Clinton an Ice cream cake from dairy queen and gave birth to our daughter.

Happy first anniversary dear!

Facebook

I deleted my facebook today. I just kind of got sick of it and decided that if people really need to get a hold of me, they could call or email me. Plus I really don't need to have 350 "Friends" so I just saved a bunch of time and got rid of it.

Although I doubt many people will actually notice.

So here is the point of this post. I hereby promise to update this blog more often and to actually post adorable pictures of Vada. I noticed that all the pictures I posted on here were on facebook and everyone had already seen them.

Plus it was a little creepy when people from church would comment that they just LOVED that one picture of Vada when we aren't even friends and I hadn't spoken more than a 'Hi how are you' to them.

This would be the spot I would upload some pictures of Vada but I'm on Clinton's computer and Vada is asleep in her bouncer in our room which is where my camera is and I am not about to go in and wake up her just to find my cord and camera to upload pictures.

So instead of pictures of Vada, here is a picture that I laugh at every single time I see it.

Enjoy!

The Husers' bought a house!

We bought a house! Well, actually we bought it a few weeks ago but they are bringing it in today. It is a double wide, but by the previous sentence you probably knew it was some type of trailer. It's adorable, big enough so if we have any more offspring we can fit them and we can afford it! Hallelujah, AMEN!

Vada has been very excited to actually have her own nursery to put all of her crap in. Yes, I said crap. She has a TON of it. Ok, well not so much Vada is excited- but her parents sure are!

Clinton and I would like to thank everyone for the prayers, offers and help they have given us these past few months.

And yes, I am going to make you wait for pictures until we move in. I don't want to ruin the surprise completely!

Oh, and in Vada news..... She smiled at me today!
That's all.

And a baby makes three...

On May 2nd, 2012 Clinton and I became the extremely proud parents of a daughter, Vada Catherine Huser. She weighed 7 pounds .8 oz and was 20 inches long. Vada entered our lives at 10:56 am and has been such a blessing...
Looking at her now-a week later makes me sad. She's already changed so much!
First family picture.

She has met her double cousin Charlotte and looks nothing like her.

I wasn't kidding.

Also, after the sleep deprived first week I feel we are starting to get the hang of things. Watch, tonight will be the night she decides she wants to be up all night screaming like she did her first few nights home. I don't know who cried more at 3 am, her or me.

You might want to start praying for Clinton now...
