Ah, I can hear Lil John now....

Ah, middle school dances. Those embarrassing 2-3 hours of acting like you knew how to dance, when really  we probably looked like this.

In fact, I'm willing to bet on it.

At least in the picture above I can blame it on the fact that was my bachelorette party and we had a few drinks prior. What brings me to reminisce middle school dances?
Kyle.

Kyle is Clintons younger brother. This past weekend, Kyle had a middle school dance and apparently had a really good time. He also even had a date, which baffled me because at our middle school dances the boys stood around the sides of the gym while the girls all huddled together and 'danced'. When Clinton found out he had a date, he jumped on the chance to try and teach Kyle how to slow dance. I don't think I've laughed so hard watching Clinton 'teach' Kyle how to dance.

I also don't think I have ever seen Kyle get so red.

Good luck charm.

On February 28, 2012 at around 9:55 p.m. Clinton and I survived our first tornado. I now have a new found hatred for the movie The Wizard of Oz and how her house was picked up and gently placed in munchkin land. Mine is now inhabitable.

I was in our room doing homework and Clinton was in the dining room messing around on his computer. The windows started to shake and Clinton yelled at me to start heading towards the basement, we made it to the living room before glass shattered and we both hit the floor covering our eyes. We made it through without a scratch, our house however did not. It took our roof, carport, and the deck cover. While I am now kicking myself for not getting really any good pictures of the house before, here are some that Jeryl, my mother in law took.

The glass that we felt was from that screen door behind Clinton
This is next to our room, I should mention that a tree came throw the window and if I would have stayed put, I probably would have been seriously hurt.
This is all the tin from our house and the barns in the wheat field next to our house.

This was my bump at 25 weeks, it's much bigger now but it's the only picture I could find.

I'm starting to call the baby our good luck charm, that and God was seriously looking out for Clinton and I on that night. An engineer came out this week with the insurance adjuster and looked at the house. Apparently, the tornado was pretty darn strong, strong enough that it basically twisted the house off it's foundation and that we were pretty lucky that the house and us didn't get picked up. So since hearing this lovely bit of news I've come up with a few theories, Baby Huser is going to cure cancer or do something totally awesome and amazing. Or Baby Huser is mom & dads good luck charm. Oh, I should also mention that Sam made it through the storm unharmed. I honestly thought she was underneath the deck and was killed. It wasn't until the next morning that I walked outside and there she was, laying in Mark & Jeryls backyard, just fine! I lost it.

P.s.- Clinton and I don't need anything right now, but when we get to where we're going we will be asking for Walmart gift cards and maybe a few things for the baby. Since the came as a total shock for us, we really weren't planning on being technically homeless in my last trimester and bringing the baby home to his parents house, who have been totally awesome through this traumatic experience. Also, I should give a shout out to my mom, grandma and sisters. Who have been super supportive and helping us with the little things, like driving me to my OB appointment the next day. Love you guys!

Nirvana

Clinton shocked me this evening by saying these 3 words "Let's get cable".

Er, I should say dish network. He found out from his brother that they have packages for around and under 25 bucks. I'm excited because this means that when baby Huser arrives I can watch HGTV when i'm feeding him or her at night.  And yes I said HGTV, I'm turning into my mother.

Let me show you another reason  why I'm so excited about this....

Yes, that's Clinton in a heart shape box.

You see, this is what we do when Clinton isn't working. We find random things on our computers and play with them. A few weeks ago, Clinton showed me where my webcam was.... the webcam I have been looking for since I bought this stupid computer 2 years ago. I added the hearts around his face because he just looks precious.

My plan tomorrow at some point is to get a picture of Sam in the heart shape box template. We'll see if she just lays there and let's me or runs away.

Hopefully, we actually go through and get cable. But i'm not holding my breath at the moment.

The Bump

I've been trying to take pictures of my ever growing bump with a piece of paper that says how many weeks I am. Guess how many times I've actually gotten a picture of my bump?

One.
I've been meaning to take more pictures of it but that just hasn't happened. We are currently 25 weeks, I have now given up on taking pictures of the bump. Maybe I can do something really cute and crafty when the baby is actually born, but until then I'm not holding my breath.

The two S's are expecting.

Last night while waiting for the chicken cook for dinner, I decided I was so hungry I couldn't wait the 45 minutes until supper was ready. So I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich. Normally, this wouldn't be that exciting except that Sam was inside during this time and decided that I needed to share my sandwich. Now, normally I wouldn't have a problem with this but baby Huser must have been starving because my stomach decided no, I would eat this whole sandwich by myself. No help from Sam. Needless to say she wasn't happy and actually stared at the toaster and bread on the counter until Clinton said, "You know, you could make one for her and probably get some really good pictures of her eating the sandwich." Oh did I get some pictures. A whopping three of them because she ate the stupid thing so fast. I guess the puppies in her belly decided they were starving as well.
Do I get one?
 I got her to smile-ish!

Devouring her new favorite food
Can I have another one?

Oh and about her puppies, if you know ANYONE who wants a Great Pyrenees puppy, they'll be ready to go in May. Also on that note, Sam has a date with the Vet to get fixed in July! All together now, YAY!

The beginning

Well, I decided to try and start blogging. With a baby on the way for Clinton and I, and with me watching Kelli and Aarons little girl, I figure we'll have enough things going on to keep the blog updated and somewhat exciting.

So here we go

This is Sam
If you couldn't tell, she's miniature horse. I should also note that this picture is a few months old. She's even bigger now.

Sam is what I lovingly refer to as our "Dogger". Yes, I am one of "those" people. I was told to start holding a fake baby around Sam so she would get used to not getting all of our affection and attention and therefore wouldn't be as jealous and act out when the baby comes. So what doll did I choose to carry around? A doll my great grandma Stewart gave us. Grandma Stewart has a heart of gold, but the doll is pretty scary looking and actually scares Sam- so i'm not sure if the doll is helping or not. But carrying it around the house when Sam comes in has made me realize that
A.) I feel really cool
B.) Who came up with carrying a fake doll around your dog?

I would post a picture of the doll but I would like for you to able to sleep tonight. So i'll refrain for now.

In other news, our washer is broken and what broke on the washer this time? The motor, of course. So Clinton being Mr.eBay himself found a used motor on eBay and i'll hopefully have a working washer by the end of next week. In the meantime, i'm holding off as long as I can before I HAVE to go to the laundry mat. It's probably not a good idea, but the thought of lugging all of our dirty clothes to town, washing them and then lug copious amounts of wet clothing all the way home to dry them just makes me exhausted thinking about it.

I should probably start getting our laundry together.
