Good luck charm.

On February 28, 2012 at around 9:55 p.m. Clinton and I survived our first tornado. I now have a new found hatred for the movie The Wizard of Oz and how her house was picked up and gently placed in munchkin land. Mine is now inhabitable.

I was in our room doing homework and Clinton was in the dining room messing around on his computer. The windows started to shake and Clinton yelled at me to start heading towards the basement, we made it to the living room before glass shattered and we both hit the floor covering our eyes. We made it through without a scratch, our house however did not. It took our roof, carport, and the deck cover. While I am now kicking myself for not getting really any good pictures of the house before, here are some that Jeryl, my mother in law took.

The glass that we felt was from that screen door behind Clinton
This is next to our room, I should mention that a tree came throw the window and if I would have stayed put, I probably would have been seriously hurt.
This is all the tin from our house and the barns in the wheat field next to our house.

This was my bump at 25 weeks, it's much bigger now but it's the only picture I could find.

I'm starting to call the baby our good luck charm, that and God was seriously looking out for Clinton and I on that night. An engineer came out this week with the insurance adjuster and looked at the house. Apparently, the tornado was pretty darn strong, strong enough that it basically twisted the house off it's foundation and that we were pretty lucky that the house and us didn't get picked up. So since hearing this lovely bit of news I've come up with a few theories, Baby Huser is going to cure cancer or do something totally awesome and amazing. Or Baby Huser is mom & dads good luck charm. Oh, I should also mention that Sam made it through the storm unharmed. I honestly thought she was underneath the deck and was killed. It wasn't until the next morning that I walked outside and there she was, laying in Mark & Jeryls backyard, just fine! I lost it.

P.s.- Clinton and I don't need anything right now, but when we get to where we're going we will be asking for Walmart gift cards and maybe a few things for the baby. Since the came as a total shock for us, we really weren't planning on being technically homeless in my last trimester and bringing the baby home to his parents house, who have been totally awesome through this traumatic experience. Also, I should give a shout out to my mom, grandma and sisters. Who have been super supportive and helping us with the little things, like driving me to my OB appointment the next day. Love you guys!
